- Profile: The Programme “Customer Oriented Drinking Water and Sanitation Services” is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The objective of the programme is to support the partners at central and local level in the implementation of the water sector reforms. At local level the programme supports three partner municipalities and their water utilities in the improvement of drinking water and sanitation services, especially performance orientation, accountability and in customer orientation.
- Subject: The GIZ Office Tirana invites qualified companies to express their interest in providing services on Updated or Development New Businesses Plans for Six Coastal Water Utilities: Shkodra WU; Lezha WU; Durresi WU; Kavaja WU; Vlora WU; Saranda WU.
- Eligibility: Participation is open to all eligible national consulting companies (participating either individually or in a grouping — consortium — of tenderers) which are effectively established in Albania.
The consultant must prove that they are legally registered and allowed to pursue the professional activity necessary to carry out the work subject to this request for proposal. Furthermore, the consultant must prove similar experience in the field.

- The due date for submitting the application is 30 October 2019. The documents should be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked “Application for prequalification: CPWS-C2- Updated or New Business Plans for 6 Water Utilities”, addressed to:
German Development Cooperation Office (GIZ), Office in Tirana, Skanderbeg Street, No. 21/1 Tirane
After the due date for submitting the application, the process of prequalification will follow.
The submitted applications will be evaluated, and only prequalified candidates will be invited to answer to the bid.
