Make it in Albania –  OPENING OF THE SECOND CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Following its mandate from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MoEF), the GIZ Program for “Sustainable Economic and Regional Development, Employment Promotion and Vocational Education and Training” in Albania (GIZ ProSEED) under its third component of Social Participation of Marginalized Youth and Minorities is opening its Second Call for Proposals from 23 July – 21 August 2018.

The aim of this call for proposals is to financially support local civil society organizations, to implement small-scale projects that strengthen social empowerment and cohesion, and enable the target group to engage actively, in line with their interests and capabilities, to find common solutions to improve their-, and their respective communities’ social and economic situations.

All CSOs registered in Albania with at least 2 years of relevant experience and proven record in youth empowerment and social cohesion are invited to submit proposals under this call for proposals.

The 10 envisaged proposals to be selected through this competitive call shall receive financial support in the amount between 10,000 – 20,000 EUROs (equivalent in ALL).

The proposed interventions submitted by the local CSOs may take different shapes and may include activities that strengthen the interaction between different groups of youth, activities that contribute to the development of life skills, cultural and sports activities, as well as activities that foster the inclusion of minorities, women, persons with disabilities and migration returnees.  The long-term outcome of these activities should aim at increasing the target group’s social capital and future employability prospects.

In order to submit a proposal for participation in this call, it is necessary to consult the Application Guidelines that may be obtained by it through the ProSEED Facebook page. The Application Guidelines state the defined objectives, and requirements to be complied with and provide detailed information on the procedures for selection. Interested local CSOs can find all the official templates for submitting proposals under this call annexed to these guidelines.  Applying CSOs shall submit their applications only electronically to [email protected]. All applications must be submitted in English language.

The deadline for the submission of the proposals is 21 August 2018, 16:00h.
