Tetra Tech is seeking resumes from candidates for the following position:
Position: Assistant
Objective: The successful candidate/s will be joining Tetra Tech’s team that is implementing a USAID funded program, in OSHEE (Operatori i Shpërndarjes së Energjise Elektrike), with specific responsibilities in overseeing the implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- University degree in engineering, economics or law. Engineering degree is preferred.
- Working knowledge of utility business, in particular field operations and electricity installations.
- Good understanding of electricity laws and regulations, and basic knowledge of accounting.
- Ability to inspect electricity meter points in low and medium voltage.
- At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in utilities or similar sized high complexity corporations.
- Fluent in English and Albanian (both written and oral).
- Microsoft Office proficiency required, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
- The ability to multitask, manage and meet deadlines, and analysis in excel.
- The ability to interact with international and OSHEE staff members on all levels.
- The ability to work with limited supervision, to include working on certain occasions during weekends and night time field engagements.
- Prior experience working in a fast paced office environment and working under pressure, prior work with international organisations (e.g. USAID) is considered as advantage.
- Good attendance and a commitment to being on time.
- High level of ethics, honesty, discipline and professionalism.
- Possess a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Client focused. Prepared to ‘go the extra mile’.
- Be ready to travel (driving license required).
Responsibilities:
Assisting Tetra Tech advisors with implementation and supervision of performance improvement initiatives in OSHEE.
- Execute adopted work plans by Tetra Tech advisors related to implementation of performance improvement initiatives, in different OSHEE regions across Albania, in particular in Shkodra, Vlora and Durres regions.
- Collect, process, and analyse data related to electricity loss localisations in medium and low voltage network, and present the same in spreadsheets and PowerPoints.
- Monitor and supervise periodic performance of OSHEE field employees, and keep performance appraisal records.
- Support OSHEE field employees and mid-level management staff in implementing advisors work plan.
- Providing translation, as necessary.
- Arrange meetings between advisors and other stakeholders, and provide notes of meetings attended.
- Alert and advise the Tetra Tech advisors on sensitive Albania issues (Energy, ethnicity, national politics, religion, geo-politics, safety, security, etc.).
- Maintaining data bases and files of financial, operating, and technical information.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Tetra Tech advisors.
